Role: Web designer & developer
Timeline: 7 Weeks
A one-page website created for a client specializing in film translation. The goal was a minimalist, cinematic design that communicated precision, storytelling, and sophistication.
Constraints:
- no budget for formal user research
- short delivery timeline
What I learned:
Understanding how typography conveys emotion, tone, and meaning
Balancing atmosphere and mood with readability and usability
Delivering a final design that reflects the client’s professionalism and desired cinematic feel
Translating abstract and creative ideas into clear visual design

Design process

Used a neutral color palette and refined typography to support clarity and credibility
Mapped the site around three core user flows: translation process, testimonials, and contact
Solution
A testimonials section from real creators
A language list (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Finnish)
A contact page with rates, address, and a form to get in touch
A “Our 3-Step Process” section explaining how translations are done
Outcome

Film and TV professionals can now clearly understand services, languages, and the translation process
The website reflects a trustworthy, polished, and industry-appropriate identity
Improved credibility, discoverability, and ease of contact for potential clients
